SSL Certificate Checker

Verify SSL/TLS certificates for any domain

How it works: This tool uses a client-side simulation to demonstrate SSL certificate fields. For a full server-side check, the domain would need to be resolved via a backend API. Enter any domain to see the certificate info layout.

SSL Certificate FAQ

What is an SSL certificate?

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates authenticate a website identity and enable encrypted connections. Modern certificates use TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol.

How do I check if my SSL is valid?

Enter your domain above. A valid certificate should show a green status, correct issuer, and expiry date in the future. You can also click the padlock icon in your browser address bar.

When should I renew my SSL certificate?

Most certificates should be renewed 30 days before expiry. Let us Encrypt certificates auto-renew 30 days before expiry. Paid certificates typically last 1-2 years.

What is a certificate chain?

A certificate chain links your SSL certificate to a trusted root certificate authority (CA) through intermediate certificates. A broken chain causes browser warnings.
